Pima County

Pima County: This county is best known for its cotton production. If you have heard of Pima cotton, you now know the connection! In fact, nearly 25,000 bales of cotton come out of this county each year. The other large crop is Durum wheat, most of which is exported Italy to make some of the world’s best pasta! Nearly 20,000 tons of Durum wheat is produced in Pima County. All of this production and 25,000 cattle and calves account for $51,983,000 in this county each year.
