Coconino County

Coconino County: Cattle and sheep ranching started in the 1870s, and when the railroad began serving the area a decade later, the lumber business boomed. Today, 25,000 cattle and calves and 11,000 sheep and lambs graze the rich grassland of this county. Agriculture is still dominant force today with annual agriculture sales of $29,284,000.
