University of Illinois Western bean cutworm moths have been spotted in high numbers in Lee County, Ill. Dale Baird, University of Illinois Extension crop systems educator, reported Tuesday that his two-day capture was the largest he’s seen since he began monitoring this insect pest five years ago.
