Pesticide and Worker Protection

Who are we?

The law requires that any person who enters an agricultural establishment on which any pesticide has been applied within the past 30 days must be provided with pesticide safety training. ACT has the ability to provide training in English and Spanish and has already trained over 2500 individuals as either pesticide handlers or agricultural workers.

What does the law require?

The law contains very specific requirements for the agricultural employer. The following is a brief list of the primary issues that can be addressed when one of our employees makes an on site visit.

  • Central Posting Requirements

  • Field Worker Training

  • Pesticide Handler Training

  • Personal Protective Equipment Requirements

  • Decontamination Site Requirements

ACT has developed a Regulatory Attachment Reference Manual (PDF) and a Regulatory Attachment Summary (PDF) to assist agricultural employers with compliance.

Is my operation compliant?

If you want to see if you are in compliance with the Worker Protection Standard, check out our self-evaluation form (PDF). If you would like to request an onsite visit following your self-evaluation call (602) 542-0985 or (800) 294-0308.
